Do you think he is lazy or slow?

Does your child slouch and lean much in class?

Is handwriting messy or tiring?

Does it take a long time to respond?

Take the muscle tone quiz:

Muscle tone

is the degree of readiness to respond in a resting muscle. Think of it like a guitar string, sitting in the corner tuned and ready to play the right note when plucked – crisp, in tune, on time. Similarly, we want our muscles to be ready to do what we ask them to do with just the right amount of force – not too much, not too little – and right on time.

When our muscles don’t have the right amount of tension in them, things happen more slowly, we need to prop ourselves up, things are more effortful, we get tired more easily, and posture goes out of alignment. I’m sure you can imagine how this would result in daily struggles at school, on the sporting field, at play and home.

When the learners muscle tone is strengthened, everything in life will feel easier.

Take the quiz to see if your child’s muscle tone is working efficiently.
